I actually thought Noble coming on calmed everything down nicely, to see out the game and protect the clean sheet. He knows how to take the sting out the game and win free kicks to dampen the oppo's late efforts. Ironically, the calming down of the players is what helped get the fourth goal. The team showed great composure in the minutes leading up to that goal.

Credit where it's due to Moyes and his team. They are doing quite well bearing in mind the shit support they get from GSB, (OUT)!

Early days, though, and as mentioned, the big test will be if we can establish the ever illusive consistency.

Why would we, we were shocking and it's the managers duty to get the players up for the game.

I do praise how he's changed the system, since we've looked a lot better.

Credit to Moyes for that.

Since mark spoke out, hes not had much playing time. could the daves have told the manager not to pick him. its the type of game that they like to play. would not surprise me to see him go to qpr, part of manning deal

We are clearly not going to be spending much money to push on so we may as well have a manager who can get the side fit and organized enough to ensure safety until we are sold.

He's been injured, apparently a toe injury?

one iron, I can’t see it, Sullivan forcing Moyes not to play Noble if he wanted to play him. I tend to believe he really was injured.

Re: Let’s give David Moyes some credit
Very rarely do we win back to back PL games.

Nor do the majority of the Premier League.

Of the teams who have played 2 or 3 games, so far, only 6 teams have won, two on the bounce this season.

If you look at last year's final table, over half the teams had only 5 away wins or less. Which means winning twice on the bounce a maximum of 5 times, when playing home then away.

Definitely, took one for the team, just hope it's the long Covid that keeps him away for the next 6 months

I'm wondering if Sullivan was right when he said on Talksport last week that we have a good, but imbalanced squad.

If we can address a couple of problem areas in the squad, with one or two signings then we could have a decent season. Wolves have shown over the last two years that having a slightly smaller squad of motivated, hungry players is better than a padded out squad full of mistfits.

David Moyes claret and blue army!

His best two results have been Bournemouth when he had just come in and had no preparation time with the squad and last night when he was sat at home with covid looking at his giant TV

Massive credit then

Re: Let’s give David Moyes some credit
My Credit is reserved for the Players waking up against Wolves and playing as a good tight team, attacking, no negativity and in control.

Both our 1st 11 and `CUP` team are playing to the potential they have. Regardless of Moyes. Can´t have full finger on the pulse and tempo of a game down the end of a mobile with Stuart Pearce the translator.

Well done Father Ted , Masuaku , Antonio , Haller , Bowen and the team for a full shift.

Going well for Pellegrini, 3-0 down at half time.

Always foolhardy to make judgments after 2 or 3 games.

If you discount the Newcastle game and go back to end of last season or beginning of return from lock down you would have to say we have improved in terms of organisation, intensity and performances/results shown us to be in mid to upper table form. But the threadbare squad and need to make changes to tactics and formations and selections is what can hurt us.

We start playing teams that sit deeper and let us have possession, its a different challenge to the current run against the top 6 sides.

So as always IMO we should judge over 10 - 15 games.

Father Ted Crilly's presence obviously the difference. Is Pearce or Nolan the equivalent of Dougal? Got to be Pearce ;-)

Re: Let’s give David Moyes some credit
It’s true Sir Alf, we do often struggle against a team that sits back, well organized defense and then get us on the counter. However, Newcastle aside we did do better against those types in the post lockdown end of season. Leicester will be a big test, they have had a great start. Spurs are obviously the team I’d love us to beat and they have had a hit and miss start.
I predict Moyes will have us mid table in 10 games, but as you say injuries and if the expensive misfits can step up will be critical. Although I worry most about Antonio getting injured, probably defense and keeper should be the most worrying area for injuries.
You know you almost sounded positive there, good to see.

as with previous managers, I'm past criticising moyes now it's all on that toxic dwarf cunt. less than a week left of the transfer window yet still no sign of a penny being spent of the mythical £40M budget. was little David lying, again

He's kept us up twice, moving Arnautovic and then Antonio up front have been great managerial decisions.
